The Triangle Area Stephen Ministry Network is comprised of representative Stephen Leaders from close to 60 participating Stephen Ministry congregations, from various denominations, scattered throughout the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area of Central North Carolina. The network was begun in 1995, to help strengthen and encourage existing and new Stephen Ministry programs through the sharing of experience, ideas, talent, and resources. TASMN is also partnering with Transitions LifeCare (https://transitionslifecare.org/ )in helping to provide continuing education for the Stephen Ministers in the area.
Where Are Network Meetings Held and How Often?
Triangle Area Stephen Ministry Network Meetings are held four times a year. Meetings are held at member churches, usually on a Saturday morning or at Transitions LifeCare. E-mail and website notices inform members of the location, time, and date of upcoming network meetings.
Who Presides Over the Network Meetings?
After two and a half years of faithful service as our Triangle Area Stephen Ministry Network Coordinator, Wayne Campbell decided to step down (July 2003). He passed the baton to Betsy Eder of Cary, NC, a Stephen Leader of West Raleigh Presbyterian Church. After Betsy became a minister in the Presbyterian Church, Ron Bostick, a Stephen Leader at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cary, was asked to coordinate the TASMN Network. The number of coordinators has increased to three to bring new perspectives to TASMN along with sharing responsibilities. How Can My Church Join This Network?
If your church is in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding area of North Carolina and is an enrolled Stephen Ministry congregation, it's easy to join! Click on the link below for information on how to register your congregation as a member of the Triangle Area Stephen Ministry. When your church registers, a Stephen Leader with an email address must be provided. After registering, other Stephen Leaders can then subscribe to the distribution list.
